    does anyone have photos or stories of the 1950’s fire in Zayante? My dad and family lost their home.

    Leaned to swim in that pool 1965. Meet my future husband there, of course didn’t know it at the time. Just celebrated our 50th anniversary 2021

      That is such an absolutely, sweet, heartwarming story. Thanks so much for sharing it. Congrats on 50 glorious (except when not so glorious) years together. I’ve been married for 35 years and I think the rough times help us grow and appreciate the good times more. Wow! 50 years! My hope for you is many good years ahead. It’s true, gettin’ old sure ain’t for sissies!

      Please forgive 8 year delay in responding. I was diagnosed with incurable cancer Nov 2013, so have been on Mr Toads Wild ride ever since. Warmest regards, Vicki Wees
